VERY HIGH IN PRICE THEY SERVICE THEIR RESIDENTS PRETTY GOOD BUT THE PRICE PER MONTH IS QUITE HIGH. LOVELY INSIDE BUT PERSONEL IS NOT QUITE UP TO STANDARDS FOR THE MONEY THAT THE RESIDENTS PAY. I HAVE SEEN OTHER ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, AND THEY SEEM TO DO A BETTER JOB WITH THE RESIDENTS, I THINK THEY CAN IMPROVE ON THEIR SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS, AND HAVE A LITTLE BETTER ATTITUDE TOWARDS THEM. PROS: FAIR CONS: NEEDS WORK

A warehouse for old people At times the staff actually calls residents by their room number instead of their name. That says it all. Dementia residents are mixed with non-dementia patients. It isn't so fun for the non-dementia residents. My friend complains that diabetic friendly food is difficult. Some of the staff is really nice.

UNREAL This place looks like it's falling apart. There is carpet torn and ripped inside the dining area and the columns throughout the building have paint peeling off of them. For the kind of money they charge my family its very disturbing. I ate with my grandmother there and the food was pretty bad. Dont get me wrong, it's not a bad place............but for what they charge it's horrible. Also, watch out for Linda............she's nice to you before you sign the contract but after that good luck with getting in touch with h... read more

OUTSTANDING My mother has been a resident at Salida Woods for over five years. We chose them due to their being almost $500 per month less than everyone else and recommendations from friends. While it's not a Hilton Hotel, they focus on what's important - caring for Mom. We've found all their staff to be warm and caring - Linda and Karen are pivotal in making sure mom is safe, secure and well cared for.

good night sleep Finally! For the first time in several years I had a 3 full nights of sleep in a row. My mom has dementia. She couldn't take care of herself the right way. We searched for an assisted living home for mom for close to a year. We finally found a gem in Salida Woods. They just started a remodeling project--but we asked for the old decorations. Why would they waste such beautiful things? The girls that work there are so nice. Everyone introduced themselves and weclomed mom "home"! That made even my husband cry. ... read more

Unsatisfied...... I was so excited when I heard that my grandma was moving to Salida Woods. I occasionally drive pass the building and it is absolutely beautiful, especially compared to other assisted living facilities I have seen or visited. However, as cliche as it may sound, looks were definitely deceiving. When I first entered into the building, though the interior was nice, I couldn't believe the amount of wheel chairs, especially ones with table top constraints. I'm not exactly sure what assisted living entales, but I ... read more
