I had scheduled an appointment ahead of time for pretty late in the day due to the my chart appointment setter not working for awhile, once I got there they told me they should have called me because they do not accept my insurance, however, they accept my secondary insurance. I had to wait for them to contact someone to confirm, then I was told they do not accept any of my insurance and I was basically turned away. I'm leaving three stars because the two times I have been here have been pleasant experiences. Friendly staff short waiting time but today I called to get a same daY appointment and I was transferred to a medical assistant and was on hold for an hour and then hung up on I called back and the same thing happened but this time I hung up after 45 mins of waiting on hold.
Throughout the past several years I have visited Salem Health Urgent Care for a number of sicknesses and conditions. They are always kind, friendly, fast and informative. Today I saw Brian Puering, NP and he was fantastic. Thanks, Salem Health.
The nurse that I saw (for my daughter’s throat) prescribed antibiotics when there was no infection. I told the nurse that I wasn’t comfortable giving my daughter an antibiotic if there was not a confirmed infection. The experience that I had with that particular nurse was awful, she was very forceful/insistent on pushing invasive care.
