Saladang is consistently good, and always friendly. I typically do takeout, but I've also had positive dining experiences here as well.

An authentic Thai food place. Eating in the restaurant you can order the food family style or individual plates. They also have food for delivery and carry of. I recommend getting the seafood fried rice. The price is on the higher end for Thai food, but it's well worth it.

Bad service, bad management, bad experience. I know 6 people that will NEVER GO BACK.

Overpriced Thai Food – Fried tofu appetizer, you can get this at any other place for 1/2 of the price. We had 6 people, the restaurant automatically filled in our tip at 15%. So overall we had a disappointing dinner and was sad I had wasted my money at this place.

Ins n' Outs of the Song – This Thai establishment is located right on the hustle and bustle of Fair Oaks and while that might be fine for finding the place or eating inside the restaurant, for the folks eating in Song's beautiful patio area, it leaves a bit to be desired. Apparently, Fair Oaks is the chosen flightpath for emergency vehicles, and with the uber high yet ornate prison wall-type of concrete that surrounds us, the siren sound is bounced around and amplified to a point of utter annoyance. Just the mild sounds of t... read more

Among the Top Five Restaurants in Southern California – The owner/ designer (Dang; I do not know her last name) of this unique restaurant has put her heart's energy into creating one of the most sensitively developed commercial establishments currently existing in Southern California. Her sensitivity funnels through deeply wrought humanistic philosophical roots, heightened visual artistic acumen, and superb culinary mastery into creating this not to be missed experience in eating out.

Terrific Authentic Thai in a Beautiful Setting – Saladang Song is a housed in a gorgeous cement, glass and metal structure that is so unique and beautiful, you'd think the dining experience would be more formal. I marvel at the design of the building and it's quasi-outdoor setting surrounded by a minimalist asian designs and lighting scheme. Based on this I expected eating here would be a more formal affair, but instead lent itself to a more standard thai dining experience. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. It's jus... read more

Great Thai Comfort Food – My family has been going to Song for at least 6 years on a frequest basis. We enjoy the ambiance of contemporary cement walls but adorned with Thai motif ironworks. All the tables have live orchids for centerpieces. The wait staff is very attentive and greet and seat us immediately when we arrive. Yes, they don't serve water unless it's asked for. We absolutely love their breakfast menu and go in specifically for their rice soup. The kids always order the rice soup with chicken sausage. It's comfort... read more

Poor Services Too Bad – We just got back from "SONG"...( we usually eat at and have enjoyed Saladang in the past ). the food was good.. BUT.. the service was C-. Their attidute was not one that we would expect from a Thai resturant of this caliber. Indifferent ... Slow... at the end of the evening we were "ignored"... Too Bad.. we have a lot more places to choose from in Pasadena.. We will NOT be back.
