You lost business from a very regular customer because of the despicable way you treated your employees by giving them no notice of the closure of the Sharpsburg store and no severance. You had some wonderful people working there and you treated them horribly. That's ironic as you call yourself a "charitable" organization. I will never patronize a store or donate anything to you ever again and will spread the word to everyone I know and had previously told how wonderful your stores were. Shame on you St. Vincent de Paul.

I’ve already wrote a great review if you look in my Facebook page ... great review but not for our former st Vins in Sharpsburg.... I posted a mani minus her clothing as we are stripped of our store so many in our community relied on for years now ... to shop .. save $$ and visit old & new friends.....please check out my page ... we as a community are going to suffer from the managements bad decisions here ...

Yes, it was really awful the way Sharpsburg St. Vinnie's was closed; why it needed to be remodeled is anyone's guess; my god, they didn't even have a dressing room anymore...Corporate was at the center of this closure and, as is the case, they don't know what is TRULY needed due to complete tunnel vision...I think that that St. Vincent's was around for at least {30} + years; and all it took was corporate greed to close it down in the blink of an eye...shameful...

They recently closed the Sharpsburg store, abandoning the community and leaving them without any options for affordable clothing, furniture, housewares, etc. They did this with next to no notice after a renovation. They didn't even tell the employees until after they posted the announcement on Facebook, giving them 2 days to find new jobs. They could have turned this store around with a concerted effort, but instead it got NO support at all and, unsurprisingly, it just couldn't find its legs after the reopening. Thanks a lot... read more

The employees are always friendly and I can almost always find something I "need". My granddaughter and I love to shop there and see what bargains we can find!
