The location of the inn is so perfect. The room (115) we are in is decent but no safe, no plasticware and disposable plates that we can use. The only hot water we have is in the shower. The wifi really sucks. My speed check app cannot even do the speed check!!!
Beautiful inn in a wonderful location! We have been coming to St. Simons for years and never knew it was there. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
Very nice hotel, very clean, friendly personell and very accommodating! Lighthouse Inn is at a perfect location near the village Pier and lighthouse! Warning! The walls are a little thin however, as we could hear a woman in the next room crying out and making lots of noise, well above our television noise! At First I thought she was being hurt, So we turnnd our TV down and concluded she was more than just fine!
RecommendedWe stayed in room #107. Kinda noisy through the walls but overall it was a great stay and a perfect location!
We had the best experience ever staying at this beautiful place! We were allowed to choose the room we wanted to stay in (every room is decorated completely & beautifully different) Our room was even more beautiful than the pictures indicated. The bed was super comfortable. The room was clean & everything we needed was provided. Each morning there is a continental breakfast, with plenty of options to get your day started. I really love it here mostly because of the ambiance and coziness.. I feel like I truly am living by the sea. There are some subtle changes that need to be made because it appears the building is old and isn't properly insulated. Noise is an issue. An exhaust fan needs to be reattached in room, #117. But, I could live right here and be a happy beach bum! I hope to come back. I love the lighthouse being so close. It is the most refreshing walk at night! The only decent room in the place is the penthouse. All the rooms appear to be clean and beautifully decorated, but with the exception of the penthouse, the walls have poor insulation and and even with an end room, we were interrupted at 10:22 at night by the front desk telling us there was a noise complaint. The rest of the night we were worried that even a low tv was going to disturb people. Our home away from home. Our happy place. Nice, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff. Walking distance to the lighthouse, pier, park, library, shopping, restaurants and all around town. LOVE IT!!
