We live in between plymouth and winimac, and we MUCH prefer St J over any other hospital in the area. We have seen Dr. Dejong in the ER a few times and have been extremely happy with his care. He's kind, wants to hear from you. Doesn't see you for five seconds and send you packing. He listens to your concerns and addresses them. In the last 4 years, I have been to the ER and both of my kids and each time I leave feeling confident in his dx and with his care plan. Horrible bed side manors, tried to get the person with me to sign medial papers while I was getting x-rays. Never fully registered me as a patient was not interested in my allergies and then came back into give me meds that I was allergic to and when I didn't take them. I was never offered anything else. Horrible horrible service.
I have always been treated with respect and kindness. Even the rooms for overnight stays single and the nurses were nice and attentive.
Updating this review from a couple years ago was a one star before and I'm wanting to update a refresher from my experience yesterday. Last Thursday I took my son to the hospital not this one because they got a 2 star review and I have had terrible experiences before. My son is special needs I don't got the time to play stupid. Any ways they got him straightened out right away with anti biotics and steroid.
