Up until today I had no opinion of this hospital. My mother, the patient, requested to speak with the psychiatrist. We waited 5 hours. 7 hours later still nothing. Her nurse today was absolutely horrible as well but she was the only one who made attempts to contact them. I doubt the social worker ever did. If you're seeking mental health your best choice is to move out of Indiana.
A great experience at the hospital while having our baby. Nurses and doctors were polite and accommodating and couldn’t have been more helpful. However, the nice experience ends once you start dealing with the billing department, which is serviced by a third party out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Have spoken to them three separate times and still don’t have the proper billing.
Usually it is pleasant and they help my mother through her chronic pain, but tonight's ER doctor just irritated me by asking her "Well how do you know you have Chronic Pancreatitis". She has had this for years and has been told by many doctors from Indy, Chicago, and Mayo Clinic that it's Chonic Pancreatitis. Basically it sounded like he was calling her a drug seeker! Which this would be the second time at this hospital.
I'll have to say the billing department for the medical group has gone way downhill. First, they processed my payment incorrectly TWICE!! Instead of informing me there was a problem they tried to send me to collections. Of course, I was not given any info on this. Then, 6 months later they finally called to tell me they couldn't process payment but it was too late anyway because I had been sent to collections (that's how I found out).
