The current system they use to check in and see patients is broken. It desperately needs to be fixed. Everytime I have been there in the last 3 years rather it's for me or a loved one has resulted in 8 hours or more wait time, no matter the time or reason for going. Then once you are seen they rush you out the door in 10 minutes. Last time they didn't even keep records of giving narcotics and tried giving me a second dose 10 minutes after I already received some. If you have a choice choose this place last.

Beware!!! Avoid E.R.! Saint Francis Hospital is a huge hospital and normally clean, but the E.R. is unbelievably FILTHY DIRTY! And I'm not talking about the waiting area, I'm talking about all areas, especially the treatment areas have dirt, and garbage everywhere on the floor, and stinks. It looks like a war zone and hasn't been cleaned in years. I can understand the 4+ hour wait and disorganized system, but the unhealthy, filthy condition of the whole E.R. is ridiculous. During that time, he was in significant pain and could have been in serious danger if his head injuries had been more severe. After the X-ray, he was again sent back to the waiting room, where he waited an additional six hours. When he was finally seen,... read more

The technician who was drawing up my IV was training and couldn't find a vein. The senior technician used an ultrasound and found a vein. This made my entire arm sore.

Spent 12 hours there just to be told my wbc was high and they couldn't tell me why, and sent me home and told me if I spike a fever to go back. Don't go there if you are in pain either. Won't get help for at least 8-10 hours. They don't even do fluids but will put in a IV for nothing
