I was scheduled for a procedure at St. Al’s in Baker City today. First of all when I walked in, someone was waiting in front of me. I was asked to have a seat in the waiting room as I was blocking the front door. Since all the seats were filled. i stood. Seven more people walked in and had to stand. I am highly dissatisfied with the billing department. They submitted unauthorized claims to my insurance company, which are both unbelievable and highly unethical. Furthermore, they refuse to resubmit the proper documentation to my primary insurance company, despite explicit instructions to do so. They appear to be completely disorganized, or they are simply trying to get quick payouts from my secondary insurance. Please be wary of this department.
This will be my hospital from here on. I'm 75 and had a TKR and the nurses were very caring and we're more like a friend. I had no worries and will be glad to see them for my 2nd TKR. I liked that there wasn't a lot of noise at night. It's a smaller hospital with very caring staff.
