Editorial fromSmack in the center of the Theater District, this chic-looking Vietnamese restaurant is a welcome (and affordable) sight among the not-so-memorable eateries that have set up shop in the neighborhood to catch non-discriminating pre- and…

Whats the worst thing to happen to vietnam in the last 50 years?.... Wrong. This place. – I used seamless web to order beef sate with glass noodles, pan fried dumplings, and crispy shrimp roles. All of them were bad. There are at least 20 other places that are cheaper, taste better, and come on time.
Seamless Web My $*%&* – I ordered from Saigon 48 using Seamless Web. I chose the "Crispy Pan Fried Noodle," after which a bunch of options popped up. I left it on the default option, "Rice Vermicelli." Whem my order arrived, I had a quart slimy brown soup and a container of BOILED noodles. I immediately called the restaurant, where a very nice girl explained to me in bad English that the vermicelli noodles cannot be fried. I asked, then why did they make it the default noodle option under a menu item called "Crispy Pan Fried... read more
Looked like Chinese takeout – I ordered the Saigon noodles with pork, and got instead what looked like cheap Lo Mein. The pork pieces were spongy and the whole thing was far too oily. The dish really looked and tasted like something you'd get from a cheap Chinese restaurant. I don't know about the other dishes, but I certainly wouldn't recommend this one.
A great find – Stumbled upon this restaurant after a matinee of WICKED. And this restaurant experience was anything but! Four of us ate here for under $95. We had sev'l appetizers, three soups, four entrees, two drinks. The food choices can be spicy or not, option is yours. The shrimp are large, not the unappealing, microscopic ones. Dumplings translucent and tender. Portions LARGE and prices fair. Ambiance classy, not noisy, service good. All of this impressed us. We would go back in a NY minute!
food is amazing... grilled garlic shrimp and grilled chicken are amazing – I work at comlumbus cicrle and am always looking for a new place to order out. This place sets the bar! I have ordered from here 6 times in 2 weeks since I have found it. Coworkers always ask if I am ordering from there... enough said.
