Drove 2 1/2 hrs to attend . Had a wonderful time. The fireworks were awesome. The culture and people were beautiful . Fry bread delicious. I Felt the love and spirit. I have chippewa in me and was grateful to see/come to this event. Def looking forward to coming again, next year. Thank you
This was my 1st yr. at the pow wow, I was just so overwhelmed with the number of dancers. The drum groups and the singing was just mind blowing. And the MCs were out of this world. And you can't forget the food, no words for it,except got fry bread. I'am Ojibwa and Cherokee , from Akron, Ohio I will always remember this great time I had in Mt.Pleasant.
I know for a fact i have Chippewa in me. Dad said great grandfather was a chief. I went to a pow wow many years ago and found grandfather's name in a book. I am very proud of my Indian heritage.
