Excellent food, delightful service, and kid-friendly, too. One of our go--to places when we are in Newport...:)
We ate there twice during our trip and both times, my 6 year old had the salmon sandwich, along with the clam chowder and a side of sourdough bread with butter, and of course the fries. Everything was superb! My daughter didn't want to go to any other place for lunch, so we had to come back here for lunch today and it was well worth it! I got the platter and that was amazing! My husband got the baby spinach with any shrimp and my youngest had the cod and chips! Thanks for the great food!
So hard to get pure food in Newport and this place provides pure food not run of the mill full of soy and gluten with artificial and synthetic food type substances. This is a top notch facility with excellent staff. This place deserves 10 stars!
We have been going to the Saffron Salmon for special occasions forever. I'm a huge fan of the delicious rack of lamb, my sweetie always goes for surf and turf. Our out of town guests can enjoy the fresh seafood offerings and they even provide vegetarian options. The view is breathtaking , the service is always impeccable ,the ambience is warm and welcoming and most importantly is the FOOD. Put it all together and that's what keeps us coming back . Completely unimpressed! Was asked to leave with my family because the staff was setting tables for dinner and didn't want to have to reset one for us. Interestingly a family of 6 had just been seated. Will never try to eat there again. Your staff was a true testiment that customer service has died! What happened to the days where owners trained their staff thatcustomers are revenue and staff was cost.
