Safeguard Astoria has been a life saver with the convenient and safe storage in this neighborhood. I have been renting a unit for almost a decade and have never had an issue at this location. The space has two entrances on both sides which offers convenience for both loading/unloading, is very well lit, and feels very safe and secure. Could not have gone easier! Greg was amazing help in setting up my unit and making sure I understood how to access the space. The facility itself is sparkling clean, and I feel very confident and reassured in storing my items there.
Updated review 10/17/25 We received a notice that after some time, our rates are going up again. Using this as an opportunity and a sign to downsize, I popped in to see Greg McDuffie, facility manager, to explore our options. Greg once again took the time to review all the available units and rates. What I really appreciated is that he recommended units that are close to our current one, to make the transition easier. This place is one of the best. Living in NYC with sometimes limited space. It’s great to know I can keep seasonal items safe and secure. Everyone in the front office is amazing and very helpful. Update: just gets better and better.
