We have found that SafeCo operates unethically and believe they deny claims in bad faith. We experienced a water event involving a small but spontaneous burst pipe in our bathroom. Upon discovery of this issue, we called a plumber and remedied the issue within 24 hours. However, due to the location of the leak in an enclosed, warm, dark space, we proceeded with recommended mold remediation. Was a 5 year customer for the same classic vehicle insured by them when with a four day notice they told me they were canceling my policy because they "couldn't verify a safe and secure garage" without giving me any chance to prove that I did in fact have a safe and secure garage for the vehicle. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I canceled my auto and renter policy with them because they wanted to charge me $2700/yr for them when the competitors were charging $1300/yr for the same coverage. Do not recommend.

Put coverage on my camper and golf cart. Multiple issues just getting it set up. With in 2 months they canceled my golf cart Insurance due to lacking model type. This after a conversation with their agents telling me are all good. With Multiple conversations, I had to send pictures of the building my golf cart was stored in.e.ails failed to solve the situation so I called an agent who said she would take care of it. I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. I say this as someone who works in the insurance industry, they have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Used to be a great company until they were purchased by Liberty. Customer service is non-existent. No human contact, everything is AI and no one calls you back. Good luck trying to make a payment or change to your policy. "Customer Service" tells you to use the App to make a payment or change, App tells you you can't and to contact customer service.
