My mom dad and I came from Maine to see this Sanctuary. It was nearly 100 degrees but man was it awesome. The staff was VERY knowledgeable and VERY nice. They had cold water and water spraying on us at the welcome snack shack to cool off everyone. The animals where amazing and gorgeous! You could tell they where hot but they had a wide amount of space and shady areas along with cool fresh water and food to keep hydrated and healthy. They had hundreds of acres to roam. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. It was more than worth the wait. You get up close and personal and the guides are passionate and knowledgable. Next time I go I plan to stay overnight.
When a girl has a passion for giraffes and can't imagine going to Africa, what is she to do? Go to Safari West. This is my dream come true vacation/anniversary present from my husband.
