As an employee and a patient I see both sides of the system. The staff was fantastic when I had my ultrasound and the staff in the endoscopy group is AMAZING. I love working for sacred heart, but I also love being a patient here. I've waited for hours in the ER before and STILL would choose sacred heart. ❤️
Had to take my son in the Pediatric ER because he had some blood after he urinated. The wait was extremely long I believe because other children were flown in and came in on the ambulance. I wish that there was some type of fast track available. However, the staff was nice and they ran tests on him and didn't find anything which is great. The lady that triaged him was very nice as well, she wanted to make him comfortable as possible. I am just puzzled about what caused this to happen to him. I had a heart issue that only showed up as dizziness to me. The emergency room team got me in and stabilized. They have the right staff with the knowledge needed to deal with even the most complex issues. I literally owe my life to the staff at Sacred Heart Hospital!
I was admitted on Oct 31 in Pensacola to have my gallbladder removed and everyone from the registration staff to the cafeteria staff was so, so friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank my nurses in PRU Kolbie, Kim (who normally works in cardiac) and Randie for making sure I stayed comfortable the entire time I was there.
