I used the inquicker at 8pm and received a appointment time of 12:00am... I arrived on time as communicated. Only to find no one at the intake desk and the triage nurse was half sleep. When the intake gentleman finally appeared her registered me so I asked if he had me under my appointment time in which then he requested a confirmation number as if I were lying or something.. This was my first time at this hospital. I was scheduled for an Echocardiogram and had no idea where to park or what building to enter. One inside, no one knew where to send me in that hospital. I was amazed! I first was told by 2 employees to walk around the corner and ask at the desk inside. When we walked in this room, there was a woman in a wheelchair in obvious terrible pain. I was very pleased to learn you were a accredited baby friendly hospital when my sister decided to deliver there. After she had her baby a Lactation nurse ( that’s what she called herself) brought her samples of formula and didn’t help her with her nipple pain .
Had appointment with Dr Chavan today and it was a great experience. Not only is he a great dermatologist but his entire staff was courteous, professional, compassionate and very friendly. I would highly recommend Dr Chavan if you’re looking for a dermatologist.
I think it's ridiculous that the ER is so understaffed. it is sad when you come in on an ambulance at 6pm but not one doctor comes in to see you for 3 hours and then when they finally do it's a quick work up and then you are being admitted and it takes another 4 hours to get you upstairs. Sacred Heart needs to devise a better system of getting patients accessed soon as they come back. I was admitted to the ER early Saturday 10 October with severe chest pain. The Escambia County EMS crew did an excellent job stabilizing. I am a retired Firefighter, so had witnessed this many times. The ER Team at Sacred Heart were outstanding, not only in caring for me physically, but calming my wife and I. After some meds, we were sent up to the 6th floor Cardiology and received excellent care from the Staff there. I have nothing but GOOD to say about the care I received.
