A careful and skillful Dr. who is not going to take a thyroid gland because of an indeterminate nodule. My local Dr. had already sent me to a surgeon to plan the surgery after I had 2 indeterminate pathology reports. Dr. Casula did her own biopsy (just a little bee sting) and the pathology at U MIami was benign. Even if it had been indeterminate again, her plan was to do the most current genetic testing (Thyroseq) and if indicated, take only one thyroid lobe, not the whole thing.
The most caring doctor I ever had. Explained everything to me patiently so I understood, So sad to learn she was transferred to VA Hospital.
