Its been over a year now since my mitral valve repair. I met Dr. Hashim after becoming sick for the first time in my life. He assured me with confidence that he would help me feel better soon. Then Sue got busy and got everything organized for the surgery. On March 8, 2018, I had the surgery and it went well. Dr.Hashim is now the Chief of Cardiology at Hartford Hospital, having moved from Yale-New Haven July 1. We had originally met with him at Yale-New Haven Hospital because of his expertise in mitral valve surgery, then followed him to Hartford for my surgery. His expertise in this procedure is unsurpassed. The surgery went well, the care at Hartford Hospital was excellent.
I had a mitral valve replacement jan 2016. Dr. Hashim was always straight forward and confident in which I loved. His nurse Sue was available anytime with answers to my questions. If anyone is seeking a surgeon for valve replacement or repair I would recommend Dr. Hashim without a doubt. Hands down the best surgeon! From day one he was straight forward and always answered my questions. He explained what was going to happen during and after surgery. Thank you for saving my life!
