One of the best sports centers in Western Canada. Something for everyone and all ages. Great Swimming clubs and coaching staff.
The best pool facility I've ever been to, not only in Victoria. It can get pretty busy but detailed schedules are always available online. Every Friday evening they open up the upper diving platforms (7 and 10 meters). The wave pool is super fun too. Might not be the best place for a party due to crowds but great for leisure and exercise alone or with a friend or two.
I have spent a number of quiet hours over the years in Saanich Commonwealth Place, mostly using the library area to code, read, or study, but occasionally using the rec facilities too. It’s one of the better public spaces around if you need someplace bright, clean, and pleasant to sit with your laptop but also be part of the community. The facility is top notch and there is a mexican restaurant upstairs. The tacos i had were 5/5 and we're a very nice surprise while I waited for my kids.
