I found the scheduling policy of check-ins and conflicting start times abusive to people with ADHD and brain fog… which I have both. Pick a time… one or the other; But don’t tell me that when I arrive at the “start” time that I’m actually LATE and send me away. I found it to be rude, hateful, dismissive and really unforgivable. The outside world doesn’t use this stupid system… Respect and logic is not their thing. That’s why they are rated so poorly. These are hateful people.
I have been a patient at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago and at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, both of which are clean, modern, and professional facilities. Unfortunately, Cedars-Sinai has been a completely different experience. While the doctors are excellent, the facility itself is rundown and unacceptable for a hospital of this reputation and resources. They refused to see my wife to biopsy a potentially cancerous growth. They told us that we had to perform an ultrasound with them, even though my wife had one done the day before, and provided it. Also, they offered us an appointment that was more than 2 months away. They want us to make us wait that long when my wife has a potentially cancerous growth. They are just trying to get more money. Avoid this place.
Aug. 5, 2025. My ultrasound turned into an emergency room nightmare. The lights are on but no one's home. Beyond filthy. There is no reception at the downstairs check in. I showed up at 6:30 AM for 6:45 AM check-in for an ultrasound and when I went down to the lower level waiting room it was covered in diirt, filth, debris and hair balls. Lamp shades covered in a patina of dust so thick they hadn't been vacuumed in years.
