I brought my snowblower in for repair to S&H and had an absalute HORRIBLE experience. When i brought it in, i asked for them to look at it because it wasnt starting. They said it would be $80.00 for service plus parts "if" needed. I said ok let me know what it will cost wlonce you look at it and let me know. Thats what i asked them to do last year when i brought in my lawnmower. They called me before fixing anytging to tell me the cost first. I HAVE BEEN BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY FOR OVER 30 YEARS. MY FATHER TOOK ME TO THIS PLACE. I BUILT A $600,000 HOME AND THEY SUPPLIED EVERYTHING FROM THE LAUNDRY SINK TO MY MASTER BATHROOM, TO MY WEBER GRILL. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, THESE GUYS ARE THE MOST HONEST, HARDWORKING PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. THESE GUYS ARE FANTASTIC, HONEST, AND WILL GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP YOU WHEN NOONE ELSE WILL

While I have found the to be somewhat pricey on standard items I still prefer this place over the big box home inprovement place just because when I go there I get exacly what I want. They carry such a wide array of plumbing fixtures and they seem to be geared to their surrounding neighborhoods, (mayfair, rhawnhurst, oxford circle et al.) I went to S&H with my 50 year old shower diverter. Every other store I was in lilterlly laughed at me when I told them I needed a replacement. Herb spent 4 hours with me getting me the parts I needed, he was so great I bought the matching hot and cold stems and handles. After the first set was incorrect from the factory, he actually sent my pld one off to the manufacturer and had on made, at no additional charge. I've been to S&H Hardware many times and i've never had a problem with any of the staff they gave me the best service and seemed very helpful and knowledgable about what they sell and i find them very affordable as well.They've won me over for many years to come.
