Had a family member sent to Ryder Trauma Operating Room. The staff was VERY rude. Lacked empathy and bedside manners. Explained nothing. There was a Caucasian male from the OR and the “charge nurse” (older woman) who were the absolute nastiest people I’ve ever interacted with. I was in distress about my loved one, and they rolled their eyes and dismissed me. While the expertise of tending to a trauma may be there, the staff (especially the Trauma OR staff) lack professionalism and basic empathy. Zero compassion or respect. A... read more
It’s very hard to believe that Ryder and Bascom Palmer are the same company because Bascom Palmer is an amazing institution but Ryder Trauma Center and Jackson hospital are pitiful i spent 14 hours in a hallway in the er without anyone speaking to me and i came in on an ambulance from another hospital (memorial) then after the eye doctor said i could be discharged and was ready to go i waited another 19 hours and nobody came to help me so i left. This is the second time i’ve had a problem like this at Jackson there are sever... read more
This place is the worst. They keep giving out false “temporary disabled” letters to patients that are no longer there and are fully recovered. I know a patient who has been fully recovered from his injuries now for over 6 months, however he keeps going back to Ryder Trauma and getting these “temporarily disabled” letters to send in to child support to stop him from paying child support for a few months. He doesn’t do no physical therapy, and he works getting plenty of money daily, however he goes to Ryder trauma every two mo... read more
I have to say that I don't remember the name of the receptionist that was there but I will not forget her dismissive and brash attitude. My mother and I arrived at midnight to find out what happened to my father since they couldn't tell me over the phone and the African American lady that was receiving us didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She barely looked at us, was lazy, standoffish and didn't seem like she wanted to work there. Which honestly, she shouldn't.
Ryder Trauma Center has a 3.2 star rating with 147 reviews.
