When I went to him he did not even listen to me, I told him I had went to Pri-Med Monday & Tuesday and my white blood count was extremely high so I went to Dr. McWhorter on Wednesday and ask him to check my white blood count that it was extremely high but I did not hear back from him so I called back on Friday and when they looked at the results He called me back and told me he needed to send me to a specialist. I have cancer and he did not even bother to look at my blood work until I called

Our office is not open on Fridays and I have not had any call of this nature even in the past few years. We are always concerned when someone is having health issues and you are certainly no exception. We are sorry you are going through this and want you to know that we wish you the very best.

Dr. McWhorter and his staff are amazing. They access each patient's individual health needs and customize a wellness plan. Dr. McWhorter focuses on healing the mind and body by use of supplements and nutrition. In doing so, getting to the root of the problem rather than always writing prescriptions that simply mask the underlying issue. I am very thankful for the caring well trained staff at Alabama Functional Medicine. My autoimmune disease has been in remission for 3 years now.

I went in with a migraine and left with 80% improvement all in a short office visit. I didn't have to go to the Emergency room and get IV fluids and pain medicine. It was related to several factors and the causes were discussed in great detail , with much discussion on his part and mine (which is so rare). His knowledge on womens health, brain chemistry and general wellness surpasses all guidance I have received to date.
I have been with doc for 3 years now. I went because someone told me he was all about preventative. They were right. He has been patient with me and helped me figure out how to lose weight and be healthy when doing it. After trying different things, we agreed for him to he put me on the Ketogenic Diet with some good supplements. I have now lost 10 pounds in the first month. Hubby has lost 14 and adult son(who has autism) has lost 16. We have seen more clarity and focus in him. We <3 Doc.
Awesome doctor who thinks outside of the box!
I am really please with Dr. McWhorter. I just wish he would go back to filing on Insurance so that I can continue to see him. Can't find any other doctor that I like in Montgomery.
