I had an appointment with Dr Khawaja In the Hoboken office Dr Khawaja Is a rheumatologist She was very thorough asked me a lot of questions & explained to me my diagnosis she prescribed medication for me and had me schedule a follow up appointment for six weeks. The woman on the phone refused to refill my medication that needs to be taken daily. She informed me that the NP I saw for my annual physical has left the practice and I would need to see a new doctor in order to get a refill. I saw the doctor back in February for my annual so I’m not sure why I would have to go twice in 1 year just to get a medication refilled because the NP left. Will be finding a new practice.
Warning: They will rip you off / charge you extra at your annual. I had calls back and forth with my insurance and the office to understand what was going on. I went in for my annual physical and at one point when asked how I was doing, mentioned a pain in my knee. Was a very quick convo, yet was charged as if it was a separate visit… Apparently, you’re supposed to pretend everything is fine when the doctor asks you how you’re doing. Excellent healthcare facility with caring and professional staff. The service was efficient, and everyone treated me with kindness and respect. The facility was clean, organized, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Highly recommend this place for quality care and outstanding service.
