Delightful Dining – We ate at the bar this weekend, and were completely pleased. Other reviewers seem to think that expense and location are more of a hurdle rather than a perk. This place is wonderful! You know where you are going and what to expect, good service, good food, and a particular menu. Every step of the dinner experience is well put together, no unpleasant surprises. Will go back any time.

Yet another very overpriced steak house – It seems that all the "prime" steak restaurants in town are starting to taste the same. The food at Ruth's Chris us undeniably good if steak cooked in butter (or worse yet, covered with a blue cheese crust...who makes these things up?) is what you like. In fact, everything is soaked in butter so make sure your server is alerted if you want anything "au natural." The sides are very good but extremely pricey (as are the steaks) and if you have a group of at least four persons, the bill... read more

Filet was outstanding! – I went here with a friend for lunch and we were blown away! I had the filet and she had the sirloin steak and we were both extremely pleased with the whole meal. The service was great, but we had about 4 different people at one time, so it was a little confusing as to which one was our waiter. They were all extremely gratious and coming by every so often to see how we were doing. I would definitely go back there again!

Best Steak House in Boston – I've been to Ruth's Chris numerous times over the past few years and I have never been disappointed. My fiance and I are cursed with terrible service when we dine out and we have never experienced that at Ruth?s Chris. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. In my opinion the food is far superior to other steak houses around Boston, i.e. Abe and Louie?s, Flemings and Morton?s. The restaurant is situated in Old City Hall and the ambiance is fantastic. Great for date night or ... read more

Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides in Old City Hall. – In Short This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spina... read more

great for a date! – from the ambience to the food to the service, it was top notch. the waitress was down to earth and unpretentious while the food was amazing! i went on a double date with another couple and everything we ordered was perfect. we were seated downstairs in a cozy room and while there were a lot of people there it wasn't too loud or boisterous. my boyfriend ordered the venison special and i ordered the filet and they were both delicious. the creme brulee was a perfect ending to my meal. the wine list is both e... read more

Average steakhouse – The food is good, though drenched in butter, the cut of meats is exceptional though. The place is a little dark and quiet, eat in the bar if you're looking for a little bit of a scene.

The steak melted in my mouth – I usually avoid any kind of chain restaurant, but a friend of mine raved about Ruth Chris. I went there on a Friday evening. We had an appropriate wait time, and I'll admit I would have waited even longer after the filet I had. I ordered it medium-rare, and it was cooked to perfection! Try the Laetitia Pinot Noir. It is my new favorite.

First online review of any restuarant anywhere........... – I eat out alot and consider myself a food person, and have really never been motivated to write a review, I am always suspect that the writer has some ax to grind. BUT, I ate at Ruth Chris Wednesday 7/19/06 and I think its worth sharing my experiance. My reservation was for 6:45pm and I was running late, so I called to have the resturant hold my table-they said that they would. I arrived at 7:15pm and waited untill 7:40pm to be seated, they were sort of like -hey we... read more
