They were on time and did the work. Well done.
Rutan has been a trusted provider to our Makakilo home since 2020. I like that they are local to the west side, in Kapolei. They’ve installed 2 central AC units and have serviced all of my units. They are usually able to work in routine service in a week and urgent service in just a day or two. I like that they are very proactive in advising of HECO rebate programs and helped me claim them.
My 18 yr old WSHP A/C was dead, and I was thinking of a costly replacement. Rutan sent technician quickly, and after a good check, a replacement of capacitor fixed it. They are professional and honest company, with a real back office support. Highly recommend!
I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with Rutan Refrigeration. They have replaced both of my central AC unit 2 years ago and paid by American Home Shield. Just recently it is not working again my upstairs unit. So, I called them and talked to Mike. He said they will come and check it, and it is still under warranty. Its fairly new and broken already. They came and check it and found out that there's a leak and now they are charging me another $600+ for a temporary fix. I don't understand why such a new unit already broken ... read more
Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this company, the owner and his son are A+ it's just everyone else in-between at the office is where it seems like everything gets lost in the sauce. I've had a few outstanding experiences with this company and one dishonest technician who did a half ass job and tried to bill work not performed, his son came to my house on his birthday to personally handle the job and make it right I respect that and he has my loyalty.
