Wow! Left the bubble to try this place after seeing menu online. It was so fantastic. If you love Hawaii or seafood or Asian fusion, and DELICIOUS food, you will not be disappointed. Waitress was nice, owner’s wife was fantastic and friendly, and the grilled octopus was divine. All the food had a slightly unique twist on what you expect and it was all delicious!! What a wonderful evening with family. Mahalo to the Chef (Jean Marie), his wife and hostess Kay, and our waiter Dale. Please go eat here. Food was fresh, unique, and tantalizing to the palate. Literally, the best food and dining experience we have had in the greater Jacksonville area. Service was above par. The octopus was perfectly cooked as it was tender, moist, and delicious. The cocktails were a take on some traditional ones with an island twist. Food was all plated like works of art.
Service was a bit rushed after salad was served. Snapper was delicious but not as described. We will gladly return because things do happen that cannot be controlled. Just sharing as asked;) Our second visit.
My husband and I, along with two great friends, visited Rustica while on vacation in St. Augustine. What a pleasant surprise! We received excellent service from Dale. He recommended exceptional dishes and always with a big smile, kindness, and professionalism! The icing on the cake was to meet Chef Josselin! He is amazing! All the best to Rustica!
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and we enjoyed it very much. The homemade bread was to die for too. The service was superb and the restaurant decor made me feel at home.
