I saw Dr Birdwell in 2013 for removal of my gallbladder. CT scans showed there was probable cancer. I was very anxious to have it removed. Dr Birdwell and his staff seemed very kind and Dr Birdwell informed me he was NOT busy and could perform surgery the following day. I was beyond thankful to have it done so soon as gallbladder cancer can spread rather quickly and I was very sad anticipating anything bad happening with the holidays approaching. Dr. Birdwell, is a very excellent doctor. he performed my surgery and I felt safe, comfortable, and well-informed of all of the procedures and post-op follow up. His character, conduct, and conversation is AWESOME!
Make absolutely no mistake, Dr. Birdwell is the finest specialist in Dallas...by far!!!. The office is very well organized with friendly associates. My appointment was at 10 AM and the doctor walked in at exactly 10 AM! The doctor spent the time and explained to me what is going on and how to treat my issues. We're lucky to have such a world class surgeon in our area!
My PCP referred me to Dr. Birdwell for surgery. Dr. Birdwell made me feel comfortable immediately. He discussed what would occur, we scheduled the surgery for the following week and the procedure went very smoothly. The day after surgery I had an issue and called the doctor. I left a message with the answering service and Dr. Birdwell called me back within 10 minutes. I explained what the issue was, he reassured me, instructed me on what to do and told me to come in on Monday.
Dr. Birdwell was caring and supportive. He answered all of my questions in detail.
Dr. Birdwell and his staff are the nicest group I have ever used. Each member of the staff was kind and considerate. Dr. Birdwell answered any question I had no matter how trivial. He truly cares about his patients to him it is a calling not a job.
Dr Birdwell saved my life when he did emergency surgery at 2:00 A.M. He could not have been more kind and caring.
I went to Dr. Birdwell in a lot of extreme pain and much fear and anxiety. Dr. Birdwell immediately made me feel completely comfortable and at ease with the treatment plan which included surgery right away. He was very caring and attentive to my needs and took the time to answer any question that I had. My surgery went well and the recovery time was short and with minimal pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Birdwell to anyone needing a general surgeon. Dr. Birdwell is the best!
