While the hospitalist, Varun Ashok, MD did his job, he doesn't use the usual Rural Physicians Group to file insurance claims, but uses his own company...which filed the claim with our insurance company, but failed to include notice that he is part of RPG...and , so, he is not considered "in network", leaving us with a $546 bill that would have been covered had he filed correctly. RPG has been great to work with! We transitioned our hospitalists from clinic providers to RPG about a year ago. RPG is extremely knowledgeable in all things rural medicine. Their team is communicative, responsive, and overall easy to work with. They have addressed all of our concerns and have exceed our expectations. I would highly recommend them as a critical access hospital needing hospitalist medicine.
