We ended up taking our dog to Blackfoot animal health clinic because this Dr told me on a Sunday that he had things he needed to do instead of help my dog. He also was going to charge me 255 for an emergency office visit (which was fine, I understand that part, but what I don't understand is how he wanted 1000 dollar deposit on top of the 255 PLUS whatever else he needed to do for her. He acted annoyed that my dog got VERY sick on a weekend, he cut me off when I was talking multiple times and was flat out rude. I get having ... read more

We drive all the way from SLC, Ut to go to Dr. Heins. My parents have use Rupert Animal Hospital for years. The money we save pays for the trip up here (hint:dont raise your prices because of this - Utah Vets are of the most expensive in the nation). Thanks for taking care of our babies (Italian Greyhounds)
DR Heins, Is extremely capable, very fair, and compassionate as well. He is willing to work through issues, and is thorough in his research of difficult cases. I take my animals there regularly. He has modern equipment including a surgical laser, digital x-ray, and a therapy laser. That gives me options that some clinics do not provide.
