I ordered a large queso and a burrito with queso through the app. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was handed the bag and informed that they were out of queso. I was offered extra chips or guacamole instead, but I declined and simply requested a refund for the queso I had already paid for. I was then told that the refund could only be issued back to the credit card I used to place the order and that I had to physically present the card. This particular Rubios location is stellar in so many ways. Their fish tacos and shrimp tacos exceeds even the "local" taquerias in and around San Diego. I thinks it's the consistency in the recipe and the fact that this is what they are known for. Right off the bat, the Rancho Bernardo location is super clean. The employees are constantly cleaning up and restocking the salsa bar, which we really appreciate! We made sure to clean our table and leave it ready for the next patrons in gratitude. This was one of the best Rubios for the last 3 years it has gone hill so much if you go at dinner time they are lost and don’t know where your order is. A dif manager every 3 weeks and the place is just gone down hill. The neighborhood loves Rubios but no one is happy inside waiting for their meals for 40mins plus
