Went to a dance recital for my granddaughter recently. I realize that this is a business, but much to my horror....there was a gun show and NRA meeting being held less than 200 yards away!!! Actually had to walk by the NRA meeting to get to the dance recital. In light of recent events at the Parkland Highschool, I can not imagine a worse scenario for 2 events EVER!!!! This is bad planning on the scheduling coordinator’s part at the very least!!!! Horrendous.
We have been coming to this venue for dance competition for years and never had an issue. This weekend we arrive at competition to find out there’s a gunshow at the same time. What event coordinator would think it’s a great idea to have these events at the same time? And why, if you Really have to book them at the same time, would place the gunshow in the middle of the building, with dancing in the theatre on one side and the changing room and solo stage way in the back on the other? The center it self is in great shape and very clean. Wishing that there was more for food. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to get rid of the refillable soda and popcorn because it’s not. The staff form the center is all very friendly however if I were to have any say so over security the people that are there now would be long gone. They are very rude and friendly. I should not have to ask them to watch their mouths at a children’s event and my family should not have to watch them pick fights with customers/visi... read more
Beautiful venue. Sat in the pit. I was worried the stage would be too high but it was perfect. We were first-timers but will be there again.
We enjoyed almost every aspect of the RP Funding Center. The theater was clean, the people that worked there were helpful and friendly. The Celtic Woman show was fantastic. The chairs in the PIT area were very uncomfortable and too close together. Other than that it was a fine concert.
