Aloha! I gotta say, my wife and I have been Roy's lovers since 2005. First Roy's experience was at the Ko Alina Resort on Oahu when we were Haloes enjoying the food and culture while stationed there for three years. When we got back to mainland, we found Roys La Jolla and we were stoked. We've been to the Roy's in Waikiki, awesome!!, and Newport Beach, total let down. We LOVE Roy's! We've been going to Roy's all over for years, and although we've seen some changes over the last couple of years, the food and staff are wonderful as always. We do hope to see a return to the aloha of many years ago.

It was ok-salad was fresh and tasty. However, my friend's salad wascsupposed to have shrimp in it and there was none! They did credit the price. Then, they asked if we wanted some fresh baked bread. When they brought it, it was cold rolls! Not even warm...very disappointed. Probably won't go back.

As per another costumer, Zoe Feher, we were there Dec 4 for their Gingerbread house making lunch/brunch. We were quite disappointed when we were given a Wilton boxed kit. Previous many years they had made their own icing and gingerbread by the pastry chef. Quality really went down. We think they got these kits at Costco! The kids did have fun but were so hungry by the time they got their food. What happened? Not sure we are going to do this tradition next year.
