Royal Grove This is a hotel located a short walk from Waikiki Beach. Its price is among the lowest in Waikiki if not the lowest. We stayed a month for a little over $1200. Its not fancy but includes a Kitchen. The only drawback was the Air conditioner. It failed to even come close to cooling the room. All the equipment at the hotel was free for guests to use wherever. Boogie boards - Backrest beach chairs - etc. We were there in June. We bought a $40 bus pass that allowed us free bus rides anywhere on the island. I think we ... read more
Basic Inexpensive Hotel The Royal Grove Hotel is run by the Fong family and it gives you a lot for your money. The hotel is old but it passes the basic test for friendliness and cleanliness. Most units are studios or one-bedroom apartments with full facilities. A tine pool in the central courtyard offers some peace and quiet away from the street. This is a great place for budget travelers looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay at.
