My boyfriend surprised me with a carriage ride. Little did I know he was planning to ask me to marry him. The staff at royal carriage knew, our driver Talletha and our mule Queenie were excellent. She tried to find a place for my now fiance to pop the question, but he waited until we came back to Jackson Square. We walked all around until he found the perfect place. Our first night in the Big Easy, my boyfriend and I wanted something relaxing that allowed us to see the sights and hear about the extensive history of the incredible city of New Orleans. We decided to do the "History and Haunts Carriage Tour." We knew we wanted to only use Royal Carriages for our ride as we had read about the vacation time the mules receive and the strict treatment rules they follow...this is a must for us as huge animal lovers. We were taking a ride with Aileen and Sandy and absolutely loved it. She was very entertaining and knowledgeable.
Took a tour tonight and it was fabulous. Jonathan and Pepper were truly spectacular. History shared was captivating and intriguing. Jonathan made it a surreal experience as he even looked and spoke like Huck Finn, (beautiful eyes btw)!! A must experience!!!
