Almost every year for the past several decades I've been visiting New Orleans from Wisconsin with the most recent visit being March 14-20,2018. This last trip was extra special as it was the first ever "besties" vacation for my best friend and I and her first trip to NOLA. Smilin Miss Rebecca led our mule Praline through the French quarter with skill and ease. Very informative history and culture.
Completely unresponsive on messenger. Tried calling and was hung up on twice before reaching someone that could not help me… they transferred me to a “local number” that had a recording stating that they were closed for Mardi Gras season (it’s March, BTW)
We made a great decision and toured the French quarter by carriage . Our Guide Lucy was so knowledgeable about NOLA and her mule Marie is such a hard working mule! Bonus we toured the Saint Louis cemetery #1 Great information about the souls buried there .
We rode with Mike and Cole. It was super fun. He knows a ton of really interesting facts about the city. We didn't have to wait long for the carriage to fill up and it was really one of the favorite things that we did while there. The pacing of the event was perfect. Mellow. A really personable fellow.
I've brought several people in from Kansas City MO, to enjoy the storytelling and history of NOLA.. Our tour guide was Lucila Smith Madden (Lucy).. She is a character to say the least.... expressing in the history and delight of the city.. Her knowledge whether true or part of the dramatic atmosphere is exceptionally entertaining and well worth every penny we spent..
