I will NEVER rent from them again. In *******, they did not have the vehicle even though I had previously made a reservation. I needed a larger car/SUV and they did not have ANY at all. I had to wait two full hours and missed my dinner with my children and grandchildren, stuck at ROUTES. DO NOT RENT FROM ROUTES. The most disgusting and tacky Car Rental company in the world.

When they ask for your credit card, you need to ask what they are charging on it before you hand it over, because it wont be explained to you. Dont sign anything without reading it over. They charge twice. Prepaid online $30 to reserve the car. Got there and paid another $60, including the optional toll pass ($10). $500 pre authorization will be put on your credit card. To begin Very poor customer service. No way to get in contact over the phone. Incredibly far from the airport and the bus is unreliable. Also if you book online 100% they will add additional fees to your booking. I spent $263 online and by the time I walked out they had charged me an extra $345. How that is even possible no idea. The extra costs were never explained to me.DO NOT BOOK WITH ROUTES

During my visit to ****** over new years weekend, I rented a car through routes. Much like everyone else I chose this place because of the price as well as the car however something did not sit right with me. I will not be renting a car from them again due to the additional hidden fees and difficulties in getting communication from the company. Renting a car from Routes Car Rental in ****** was a less-than-ideal experience for my wife and me. We encountered many challenges throughout the process that left us less than satisfied.Foremost, the reservation process turned into quite a hassle. The only star goes to the wonderful people working behind the counter. Take off one star for the looooong distance from the airport and no suspension in the shuttle so we were launched in the air over every bump going 70 on the highway with no seatbelts. Take off three stars for every vehicle they offered us that had a cracked windshield ( not just a chip, the whole thing cracked lengthwise or top to bottom or a giant chip in front of the drivers view. PATHETIC!! I booked my vehicle and notified of the pickup time, 10PM, which of course is an estimate based on flight arrival time. I arrived on time and walked to the bus pickup area with several other potential customers, but the bus never arrived. I was planning to pickup the vehicle and circle back to pick up my wife who was arriving via a later flight as I was coming in off business and she was coming from our home. Absolutely worst rental car company!!! We received a Dodge Durango with a loose oil cap. We arrived at our destination and the vehicle spilled oil all over our families garage in ************. Their house is valued at over *********. Fortunately, my son is a mechanic so was able to fix the problem and go get more oil. He did this on his birthday. Scammers! I returned a Jeep when I went to ******** with my son! I returned it without a scratch and I ended up getting charged $1,500 for damages! There were no whatsoever!
