I rented a vehicle through this company for a set amount. However, when I arrived at their Denver office to pick up the vehicle, I was forced to purchase their insurance, despite having full coverage through my own car insurance, which extends to rentals. I was left with no choice but to accept their overpriced insurance in order to complete the rental.From what Ive seen, this appears to be a recurring issue with this company. I reserved a car for a total of $59.42. Ended up paying $299.11. They force you to pay for insurance unless you have your insurance declaration page with you. That was an additional $299.11. The had another six fees that added almost another $100. We had to wait 30 mins for the shuttle when arriving and when leaving. Overall, a bad experience...

I rented a car online through Economy& did not realize when it routed me to Routes that they don't rent to locals. I was refused a car at the rental agency, Routes refused to assist with a refund. Economy hung up on me the first call, got an extremely rude agent the second time who flat out refused to refund my money. Too bad, so sad. No voucher, no car, no refund. Nothing. This is a fake company operating from ******The same agent answers every call but uses different names.Their prices seem cheap, but double when it's time to pick up the car.The front desk staff are rude and unprofessional.

Not really worthy of any stars. I rented through Expedia a midsized SUV to take my mother suffering from Dementia on her last real trip before all memory is lost. Upon checking in I noticed nothing but Jeeps and Dodge Durangos and no midsized Nissan Rogue or for ease of getting into for my mom. The best option on the lot at the time of check in was the Durango and the agent stated they lowered my daily rate due to the issue (great I thought) 5th thru the 14th of August was my contracted dates through Expedia. Chicago ***** Shuttle driver was Great! But it went downhill from there!!!The check in process was extremely slow and more importantly.. they gave me a vehicle that was OVER TWO YEARS OUT OF REGISTRATION!!!!These folks are crooks and you should steer clear of them and their underhanded rental practices!

Worst car rental experience ever! Rented from Priceline and prepaid, however when I got to the store, smelling of THC(pot) I was told I would have to pay out of state fees at $16.99 a day! Rental ended up being higher than my last one with enterprise and hertz! Poor customer service at the ******************** store and on the phone! Even talking about a white powder in a bag in the drawer, calling it that booger sugar! I have rented a mid size car 8/3-8/4 from the Atlanta Airport. The agreement number of my rental is ATL-81077.During the car rental processing I have communicated that I am NOT going to take this car outside the Georgia state line. After my rental car return, am charged an amount of $41.81". This amount is outrageous and not explained to me. Please refund this amount to my card.

Routes Car Rental USA is the most dishonest player in the rental car field. If you rent from them you can expect to pay more than you expected, be charged for charges you did not incur, and all around be fleeced by them if you allow it. If car rental companies have an ethics committee that they have inspections from Routes Car Rental would not be in business.
