A lovely diner. I love place where the cook is in the midst of all. They know immediately how the diners respond to their meals. It is a group communication on a basic yet pervasive level. The diner is about five miles out of Hamden and a bit isolated. Across from a cemetery with (summer time) beautiful green soft hill behind the cemetery. Absolutely solid breakfast place. Omelet potatoes and toast were all dry good and very reasonable Great service, great view of the north side of sleeping giant from the outside tables and inside at the counter. I can't believe this place isn't on every best of new haven county breakfast lists. It belongs there. Right on route Whitney Ave and right next to the canal bike and walking trail.. And the bathroom is clean as a bonus. Made my day, I will make sure to return
My wife and I enjoyed breakfast a couple of mornings while visting from Florida. Great food and staff was friendly and attentive. Will be back on future trip.
