Doctor was very rushed, Didn’t reassure any of my anxieties with the problem I came to her about. Ended up in hospital few days later to something she didn’t even mention was possible. She has zero clue. Extremely over priced, charge money and too many ‘additional costs’ for things that shouldn’t matter like asking if a different doctor can share results who is works on the Monday or Tuesday so you get results sooner.
I have had a few Mirena's fitted over the years but Dr Leotta was one of the most caring and informative experiences I have had. For something which is not the most pleasant of experiences, she made me feel at ease straight away and even drew me a diagram when she explained something in more detail! I am so glad that the 5* reviews I had read matched the reality of the appointment too. The fact that she offers a 6 week follow up only further adds to my confidence in her expertise. Dr Leotta was wonderful! I booked with RHWH to have my Mirena replaced as the practice was local, and I'd hoped that as it is a Women's Health clinic they would be far more skilled at IUD removal/insertion than a standard GP. Dr Leotta first detailed what would happen throughout the whole procedure and made sure I understood everything. She was happy for my partner to come into the room with me.
