From an original RR, Gunnison and San Miquel. I've never had a problem with any of their reels. Finish and reliability are above reproach. I have other reels, having worked in a fly shop. But on my bamboo Winstons, Sweetgrass, Scott, Thomas and Thomas, I won't use anything else... Although since they are bringing back the San Miquel, I wish they'd offer it in the platinum finish again!
I got a personal tour in September and was amazed at the actual manufacturing of these reels. First off they are completely made in the USA by real craftsmen and you’d be amazed at how much actual handwork is involved to finish each reel. Thanks Ross Reels Jerrold
