Seattle Housing Authority is the HUD Grant Assistance Agency for the Seattle, Washington Area. SHA has helped many families get on their feet and move on to home ownership. I have heard people discriminate against SHA tenants, for no good reason I might add. I personally have worked with SHA via Seattle Neighborhood Groups Landlord Training Program.
