Good steak and seafood can be found in this Western style restaurant with a great bar downstairs and friendly atmosphere all around. It is ideal for group gatherings. The upscale saloon has two fireplaces, mahogany-paneled walls full of small framed pictures and a long bar. The food is reliably good with a variety of different cuisines. Penne pasta and shrimp, lobster ravioli, Chicken Cordon Bleu, roast Long Island duckling, grilled pork chops and sauteed sea scallops are all regularly featured.

Great Food & Atmosphere – I've been to Rosie O'Grady's many times for meetings as well as with my wife for dinner. Its located conveniently in the midtown/Times Sq. area which is always a plus for business meetings and groups. More importantly, the food is excellent as is the service. I've never been disappointed. Great steaks and seafood, nice ambiance.
Stay Away From This Place! – I've visited this restaurant twice - once in Oct. 2007 and again in Jan. 2008. In October, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience AFTER the floor manager took over for our waitress whose shift apparently ended during our meal. And her attitude suggested that it was time for her to leave. Despite the rocky start, the only complaint I had was that the restaurant was drafty. When I returned in January, I was eager to take friends there but it was a bust. One person's soup was cold, the grilled WARM por... read more
Nice bar Rosie O'Grady's is not known for it's food, but where it lacks it makes up with in the bar. It is huge, ready to accomidate large partys. Nice, older feel
I ran into a reality show contestant at this theatre district corner restaurant. That, however, was the highlight of the experience. The steaks are good but nothing special and the rest of the food is OK. Service is good but the wine is served in really small glasses and the selection is very far from impressive. Good for after a broadway show if you don't want to walk a lot but that's about it.
Service is terrible, Management did nothing to correct experienc – Avoid this place. The service is horrble. It started with the bread. The rolls were cold and stale. I asked the waitress if there was any other bread and she said no, even though the 2 tables next to us had other bread. My steak was not cooked correctly and I sent it back. Instead of just cookingi t more, they made another steak. It came out when everyone else in my party was done. The replacement steak was even rawer. I spoke with the manager and she just sa... read more
Great Trad. Irish Fare – Although it is a large restaurant and bar, you get a really great cozy feel to this restaurant. I've grown up on Irish food, and visit Ireland freequently, and this is the closest you get! Enjoy!
EXCELLENT - you MUST go there – My husband and I went here during our recent trip to NYC. We were very impressed with this place. The ambience was great, good service, and outstanding food. I had a mixed seafood entree which was absolutely delicious. My husband is VERY picky with food - especially when it comes to steak and he praised the steak very highly (and trust me, this doesn't happen often). Don't be fooled by this place being listed as an "Irish Pub" - the inside looks very upscale and the service is comparable to ot... read more
This spacious restaurant is a boisterous Theater District favorite. – In Short The polished-wood street-level bar is jammed with drinkers--don't be surprised to see someone passing a beer over your head to a parched coworker jammed in a corner. Downstairs is an entirely different scene: There's a fireplace with sofas and comfy chairs set around it, and a bar off to the side. It's so relaxing, visitors usually stick around for two (three, four...) post-work drinks.
Good Meal in Good Ambiance – Family and I ate at Rosie's for an early dinner (4PM) during our visit to NYC. We were seated promptly though it was a few minutes before we were given menus and water. Ambiance and decor was fun and relaxing. Prices were a little higher than we're used to, the families' steak were good and they were pleased. My seafood combo was nothing to write home about as portions seemed small for the price. It was decent meal to me. Overall, I would recommend Rosie's but would probably be good idea to have ... read more
