I have stayed here twice in the past few months and this hotel is really just not very good for a supposed 5 star hotel. The location in Georgetown is fantastic. The rooms are pretty nice overall. I booked a townhouse this time because it was the only room they had available. Upon entering the room there was a nasty stench of mold and mildew. Pros: excellent service, kind staff, close to harbor. Cons: rooms are very dated, you can see where they’ve tried to touch up paint here and there but they’re using the wrong colors and finishes and it just looks sloppy. I wish they would have told us they gave us an ADA room at booking as we would have cancelled it and found another hotel. ADA rooms are necessary for obvious reasons but they can be very uncomfortable if the ADA features are instead of, and not in addition to, standard features. The Rosewood D.C. is an outstanding and exceptional hotel! Everything about it is the epitome of luxury and elegance. Our room was amazing, large and very well maintained. The on site restaurant - Cut by Wolfgang Puck - is also a five star establishment. Our food was delicious and expertly prepared. What makes the Rosewood even more exceptional is the staff.
