Been here a few times. I'm not impressed..but lots of other folks love their coffee. To me, it's just "ok."

I am from Kansas City and have access to incredible coffee houses that are always accompanied by Kansas hospitality. For this reason, I have a difficult time feeling completely at home in coffee shops when I travel (I tend to run into sassy baristas and/or not so cool environments and/or other unfortunate elements). Pretty disappointed with the food situation here. I have been here in the past for coffee and liked it, so I brought my mom from out of town for lunch. She got the veggie sandwich, and I got the chicken salad. Both were on very stale bread. The chicken salad itself was fine, but the veggie sandwich had a very thin layer of cut up carrot sticks and hummus on stale bread with a few crumbles of feta, for a steep 7.50. First time here - I really like it. Iced chai latte was tasty without being too sweet, staff super friendly, clientele students and down to earth artsy (meaning - I am not picking up on overwhelming levels of pretension)
