hidden gem – I have been to almost every steak house in this city, rosebud's on walton is clearly the best. Old school but yet not too much of a boys club. Always bustling but never too packed with tourists or too busy to remember thier regulars. Never a bad meal. Fantastic for client dinners or impressing the family when thier in town.
A Carnivore's Paradise – While on an apartment hunting trip prior to moving to Chicago from the east coast, our hotel's concierge reccomended Rosebud over some of the other more famous steakhouses-- and I'm very glad he did. All three of us in my party had wonderful filets, and the sides of garlic spinach, mashed potatoes w/ caramelized onions and corn were phenomenal. A Hidden Gem. – No bright lights or signs lead you to this wonderful restaurant but if you stumble upon it, you are in for a great meal. My wife & I had dinner here and the entire experience was top notch. We were seated promptly (even though the restaurant was packed) & the wait staff was knowledgeable and courteous. All of our selections/recommendations were delicious & perfectly prepared. The dinner was expensive but worth every penny.
rose-dud – This review is hard to write since I've been to the Rosebud twice. The first time I thought it was great. The service was outstanding and the food was great. The second time was awful. Since the experience was so good the first time, I thought I would bring my girlfriend there for Valentine's day.
