LOVE IT! – This is probably one of my most favorite places, ever! The serivice is amazing, the food is delectable, and the wine list is extensive. I can't think of a better date place; this is where my husband and I had our first official date! Besides the fact that Rose Angelis has a special place in my heart b.c of this fact, it also does have the best food I have ever tasted. The gorgonzola, grape and walnut tortellini is exquisite. So rich and filling, I have eaten off of it for 3 days! Best value and great food...plus r... read more

best date place in the city – For me, i think the best restaurants are those who take common dishes and do them really well. I have been a fan of Rose Angelis since i graduated college in 99. Some of the best hearty italian food I have ever had. Always try to order off the specials which are usually great. The vegatarian menu is great too for those type of people. the only question mark is service. it used to be great, but now it is hit or miss and i am not sure why

Delicious Italian with charming atmosphere! – This quaint neighborhood restaurant is a diamond in the rough. I have been coming for years and have introduced several couples to it. It is an excellent choice for vegetarians, as there are only a few meat entrees on the menu. Nobody we referred (including the meat lovers) has been disappointed. There can be a wait on the weekends, if you have a group over 4, I suggest having an early dinner between 4:30-6. If you like Italian off the beaten path of spaghetti marinara, this plac... read more

Reminds me of the food I ate in Italy! – Such fresh pasta! I have tried other dishes but always go back to the pasta because it's always the best. Adorable decor, very hospitable staff. One waitor I've had several times has been there for years knows the menu in and out and makes great recommendations. Always a safe bet for my vegetarian friends as well, which is an instant bonus. Desserts are ridiculously good. The Italian Bread pudding is delicious and HUGE- can be shared by 3 or 4 people, especially when you've just fille... read more

Wrightwood restaurant scores with intimate ambience and a noteworthy menu of mostly vegetarian Italian cuisine. – The Scene Casual, familial Rose Angelis achieves the kind of garden-in-a-small-Italian-village ambience that The Olive Garden would kill for. A series of intimate rooms leads to the main dining area in back. Be prepared to say hello to several sincerely friendly waitstaff on your way in and out of the place. The Food There's no red meat on the regular menu, and no meat at all save for a couple of chicken and fish... read more

Best find in Chicago – A date recently took me here for dinner and by far, one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in Chicago! Our waitress was a doll, the food was amazing and ambience is fantastic!

olsonmd – Great value, OK wine list although the selection of the wines by the glass could be upgraded in quality for the same cost. Straightforward Italian fare with good service for a restaurant that is as busy as Rose Angelis.

Two Words...Bread Pudding – This place is one of my favorites. The food is incredible, the staff is always friendly, and while the dining room may be a little loud at times the ambiance is still comfortable and inviting. I can't even begin to describe the deserts! You have never tasted anything like the Italian Bread Pudding!
