Best Mexican in SA – This restaurant is our favorite Mexican place in town. It has a great location, great salsa, and its one of the few places in town that offers Pollo con Mole and that dish alone is worth the trip. We are also fans of the quesadilla with potatoes and chorizo and the chorizo flameado. I can only guess as to why but there have been no female servers at Rosarios in the 3 years that we have been going and the ladies at the door are generally wearing something tight, low-cut, and lycra. Overall the service is ... read more
Best Mexican Food and Margaritas!!! – I have been going to Rosario's since they were at the old location down the street and it has NEVER dissapointed me!! It is a true staple in the Southtown area and way better than anything you would ever find on the river. Some of my favorites are the ceviche (always fresh and tasty) , callejero tacos and enchiladas suaves. The margaritas are awesome as well, the tuna margarita and the mexican handshake are great. The service is always top notch, Gonzalo is our favorite waiter, he always... read more
Margarita's are ok... – I have lived in San Antonio for 2 years now. My first year here was down town with the river walk and all of the "best" and "original" Mexican restaurants. My 2nd year here has been in suburbia with all of the local chains. I have experienced my fair share of Mexican food. Rosario's has the neon lights and the nice big building, but the only thing that makes this an "average" place to eat is not the food by any means. If this was the only mexican restaurant for miles, then I would definitely recommend... read more
Disappointing First Visit – I had very high expectations for this restaurant because it is touted as the best authenticTex-Mex in San Antonio. I ordered the chicken breast with poblano cream sauce. The sauce was good, but the chicken breast was one of those horrible spongey things that are pumped full of salt and chemicals. The chocolate flan was equally disappointing because it was not an authentic flan. It seemed like a mousse in the shape of flan. It tasted good, but can't we have some consistency in food names so we can ... read more
great food and atmosphere! everyone in our group (of 5) enjoyed their meals. live music was fun, too.
Cheap, high-quality Tex-Mex fare by day; raucous singles scene by night. – The Scene Tourists and locals of all ages chow down at lunch and dinner, but the scene becomes younger and hipper as day turns to night. The decor evokes a sense of playful fun, thanks to touches like a neon-accented bar, purple ceiling and wall covered in maracas. The Food For a light starter, order the tangy and fresh-tasting seviche served with avocado and thick homemade tostadas. Leave plenty of time if you want to fully enjoy the enchiladas de mo... read more
Food Ok, Drinks are Better – This is a great place to go for drinks!! First friday of the month this is the most crowded place due to an arts festival held in the neighborhood. Appetizers are good, the food is alright, always served scalding hot! The decor kicks butt!!
The absolute best shrimp tacos in the world – If you are in San Antonio this is the place you have to visit. Dont go sight seeing just go to Rosario's; there is where everyone is anyway. The best Margaritas and the best shrimp tacos in the world. Bartenders are fast and the waiters are the nicest.
SA's secret to the BEST margaritas! – Whether for lunch or dinner, alone or in group, for pleasure or business, the place to go for awesome, authentic Mexican food, a great time, and the BEST margaritas is Rosario's. Its eclectic and vibrant atmosphere is intoxicating. Its food is authentic and original. My personal favorite is Pollo a la Maria, a charbroiled chicken breast, topped with a cilantro and garlic based sauce. Its original to Rosario's (as far as I know). Their shrimp and fish tacos are indisputably the best! They... read more
