I had a challenging case and saw Shannon virtually for a second set of eyes. Baby and I were able to begin our breastfeeding journey at 4.5 months thanks to Shannon. She is so knowledgeable and empathetic. Not being able to feed your baby the way you desire can be very upsetting but Shannon acknowledges your feelings and offers solutions based on her own experiences. I met with a lot of lactation consultants with my daughter to try and get breastfeeding to work for us. Most of them told me to keep coming and buy this product or that medication. Shannon was the first LC I felt really listened and cared about our specific situation. She gave me exercises to do to help instead of just telling me to buy things. She was extremely supportive and so kind. I would highly recommend using her.

Shannon was absolutely amazing when I was having engorgement and latch issues with my preemie baby. Not only was she incredibly well informed about the structure and function of a baby’s mouth as it relates to feeding and digestion, she was also so kind and validated my experience with birth trauma and trauma from the NICU. I don’t even have enough words to describe how vital the support from Shannon has been during my breastfeeding relationship with my son.

Update: my baby is 7 months old, we're still EBF (although we have started solids!) and her pediatrician is happy with her weight gain, she is appropriately gaining weight along her curve. We only spent a small amount of time with Shannon, but she helped our family so much and we'll forever be thankful to her for her impact. Thanks so much, Shannon. I was referred to Shannon by a friend who had similar breastfeeding issues and I was looking for an IBCLC with knowledge about tongue and lip ties. I had met with LCs before who "didn't believe in them" and just told you to "keep trying" even when there was something mechanically wrong with the latch.
