Most the time he wasn't even there. He demands that you get certain shots like flu shots and covid shots. I am vaccine free. I've never had the flu and I've never had covid why do I need a vaccine. His attitude needs a lot of work !!
Called for an appointment and was told they do not accept GEHA or UHC insurance at this time. They should be removed from the in-network providers list
I was a patient of Dr. Root only once. Brought in by my authoritarian daughter who wanted to get me declared insane. I am going on 94 and I do have all my mental faculties. I was placed by an unknown caller under the protection of the Texas family protection and taken away from a very dangerous situation. Dr. Root had no way of knowing any of this.I contacted Dr. Root. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Nurse Kimberly was very pleasant and helpful. NP Belen was very professional and made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Root has an excellent bedside manner, quite attentive and a good listener. He spoke to me in layman's terms, gave good advice, and was not judgmental. Helped me understand my conditions and explained potential treatments with expected outcomes.
Nurse, Kim is extremely rude. NP, Belen stopped meds that were labeled to stop abruptly refused to refill even to wean me off slowly. Some of my meds I have been on over 30 years and she along with the Dr wanted them stopped. I was listed as morbidly obese, I’m 5’6 at 150#. I had numerous codings that were either not done or incorrect. How do I know this I use to do that job as a nurse myself. They do not like to be questioned and became even more rude. Says they except new patients, but not if you don't have insurance... what's wrong with self pay....
Excellent. Both I and my husband have seen Dr. Root and very pleased with both the staff and Dr. Root. He gives attention to concerns expressed. His answers are clear and to the point.
We just moved to the area and changed to Dr Root. On our first visit, he diagnosed a thyroid condition that our previous doctor had overlooked for 3 years. He took time to explain things and listened to our concerns. Very personable.. I'm glad we changed to Dr Root!
Dr Root has been our family’s doctor for years now. He is knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. We have complete faith and trust in his abilities. The staff is always friendly and caring as well.
